Kris Sargeant

Director of Mental Health, Retirement and Community Services

Kris Sargeant joined Wesley Mission Queensland as the Director of Community Care and Inclusion in 2015. She is responsible for in-home care services, community allied health services, respite, mental health services, social supports and emergency relief, community transport, home modification and maintenance, and Wesley Mission Queensland's retirement villages.

Kris has 25 years' experience working in the community services sector with qualifications in Psychology and Business (MBA). Kris has held leadership positions in community, mental health, aged care, and disability organisations and peak bodies in New South Wales and Queensland. Kris believes in working in partnership with people to provide the care and support they want, in the way they want it, with independence, respect and joy underpinning the process.

Kris started her career working in youth mental health and remains passionate about social inclusion, the promotion of health and wellbeing and the provision of evidence-based services to support people to live well in the community of their choice.
